My mother had a huge problem with wigs. She tried to wear them but couldn't stand the feeling- she ended up wearing a lot of hats.

Yes, a positive attitude toward darkness and uncertainty is essential. Life continues. Forgetfulness helps. I had bladder cancer when I was 22 years old. I was in the Grand Canyon, in Roaring Springs, hiking from the North Rim to the South Rim, when a drip of blood came out at the end of my morning urine. I flew home immediately. Only 1 young Intern was able to detect the microscopic cancerous cyst. They burned it out. I left the hospital the next day, no stitches, no chemo, but with a very bleak prognosis. I just resumed my life as if nothing happened. I made love the next day and began Grad. School a month later. I was determined to die a happy death. I just took one day at a time. Been doing that for 32 years now. I have never experienced guilt, or sin. Dr. Desposito saved my life.

actually she has a lot of allergies and hence doesn't wear make-up, only mascara I think

I was thinking maybe the suggestion of some fun baseball hats for summer

I agree, I think the unexpected will upset her just like your friend - although she had done days of research, so may have read about some the 'unknowns'

she is spending this week on an island

also? I like the planning what day treatment works best - she is a stay at home mommy, so work isn't an issue, just what will work best for her and her family

have ordered the CD - thank you Pat for all the help you've given us

[loved the song, I am a blues lover]
