Who made you the resident geneticist. There is no doubt jews mixed with native populations as all people do when they get the boot. Blood lines have little to do with what being Jewish is and that is provided by jewish belief that defines lineage thru the mother. If mom was raped by a Cossack, the kid is a legit Jew. If dad bangs a lithuanian, no cigar.

Most of the Russian Jews have limited semetic blood, the Palestinian people probably are truer semites than the E. Europeans that migrated to Israel.

Not according to recent genetic studies.

The Pals are also very genetically mixed; they descend from Jews, Greeks, Turks, Circassians, Idumeans, Arabs, everybody and his brother has been through Palestine in the last 2000 years.

GR, If I might butt in---and i hope you wouldn't mind, terribly---you're absolutely correct in your analysis of sephardic blood vs. ashkanazi blood lines.

But let history be your guide. The variously imposed diaspora of jews from Israel was and is responsible for the, so called, dilution, if you will, of the Sephardic Jew. Who many of which, I might add, still live and thrive in Spain.

It does, in no way lessen, the right nor freedom for euro Jews to call themselves Israeli as they once were, millenia ago.
