OK, I'll go into tutoring mode.

You correlate communism with terrorism ? Interesting, because I see no connection. Is Osama bin Laden a communist ? First of all, what we call terrorism is simply the bad stuff other guys do. The bad stuff we and Israel do is called "fighting terrorism" but innocent people get killed just the same. But rather than being blown up by a zealot wearing a suicide vest, you're blown up by a a faceless attacker flying at 30,000 ft.

My reference to "Pax Americana" is the common association to "Rax Romana", which was effectively enforced by the point of a sword. No disorder, no rebellion, just a lot of SPQR standards in your city plaza.

Who harbors terrorists ? Well Pakistan certainly but we do nothing because they are our "allies". They also have the only Moslem bomb. From the other guys point of view, the US also harbors terrorists. Venezuela wants the US to extradite the guy who blew up a Venezuelan airliner many years ago, but the US ignores the complaint because Chavez calls the shots and we can't help him.

I think you need a less naive viewpoint to see the big picture. Terrorists are always the other guys, our guys are always the good guys, and all countries feel the same about this.

I am amazed that the US population feels more threatened by tribesmen in Afghanistan with nothing but rifles than they are of the Chinese with thermonuclear weapons. The reason this is true of course is that the US needs China to buy our debt and they don't need the Afghans for anything. This attitude also explains why we are nice with Saudi Arabia even though 15 of their nationals attacked the World Trade Center.
It's all about money - always.

Does the President's comment about harboring terrorists apply to Pakistan? Plenty of terrorists in its Northwest areas. They won't let us in to do anything about it, and we continue to make nice with Musharraf.

Unfortunately the safe haven is as close as the nearest Democrat headquarters in anybody's town...
