$25 Billion Sallie Mae deal Yeah, I hate to even go into it. But on the technical side, I believe that Federal Funding JUST DOESN'T WORK. But it's not going to cease because I don't like it. One man that knows how to fund medical research is Michael Milken. The financier who got convicted for making too much money. When he had prostrate cancer, he set up private funding of the problem and it's been very productive. From what I have been able to read, they ought to have him as a "Czar" to install the template for doing this.
