Heard on radio he was an international student at VT who flew to US through Shanghai. They have an id but haven't publicly disclosed the name yet.

Friend of mine who lives in Blacksburg and works at VT Research Center, had this to say "wish the media would get the heck out of town, and let us deal with the situation in our small town way that we know..."

The Virginia Tech Police Department identified the campus gunman as Cho Seung-Hui, 23, a student and native of South Korea.
