My concern on this issue is that it is painfully obvious that my country's foreign policy is up for sale to the highest bidder. I could care less if its the Israelis, Arabs, Turks or freakin' Martians.....its a huge fundamental flaw in our system. Talk about a conflict of interests.

1. And your proposal for improvement in the US system is what?

2. I don't know that a candidate that ran on a platform of US increasing health care spending by reducing US aid to Israel and Egypt would receive such a miserable response from the US electorate. Only about 5% of the US population (a wild guess) has a strong view supporting Israel, and probably 2% are against it (guess who?). The remaining 93% of us would probably be receptive to building a new state of the art hospital in each of our locasl communities instead of sending money abroad. AIPAC would go crazy, but if presented clearly to the 93% of us that really aren't that interested in Israel, I think it would be well received.
