How about a cap on contributions?? A democracy is supposed to be where everyone gets an equal say. Government is not supposed to be up for sale to the highest bidder.

I would suggest that your "guess" is probably good for the support but way off on the non-support. My "guess" is that a heck of a lot more than 2% of our nation would be more than willing to cut the financial ties and let Israel fend for itself, which by the way it is more than capable of doing. Our unconditional support (especially with our current admin.) is THE major contributor to our problems in the ME.
