That is probably not a popular opinion, but I happen to agree with you that it might have been the drugs. No doubt that guy was disturbed, but you put these disturbed people on these newer drugs and some people go completely bonkers. I think there is a link between these drugs and all of these school shootings. Not well covered or researched by the media, imho. Our doc, who is also a psychiatrist says don't take any drugs that have not been out for at least 6 years or longer. Kath

That's not true. Paxil may have induced a psychotic break. Easy access to heavy firepower by a person teetering on the abyss elevated the destructive behavior of the mentally ill person from mayhem and perhaps a knife murder or two to a mass slaughter.

If he didn't have a gun, a lot of people could subdued him.

I will continue to be amazed as long as I live in how Americans, who have more firepower at every level from school-aged children through the largest military arsonal on the Earth continue to see the solution to our problems of escalating violence as one in which more guns are needed to keep safe from ourselves.
