Either way, even if Virginia Tech allowed firearms to be carried into the classroom, the vast majority would choose not to. (Well, before this tragedy.) To me, I really don't want to carry around a gun like I carry around a cell phone. If I did, it means I'm already screwed, that I think someone is coming after me, and that there is a chance I might have to use it. Anyway, the randomness of this shooting will ensure that the status quo survives, because no one can say how gun control or the lack thereof could have affected things. Tenchusatsu

At least three wingnuts from the right on this thread are suggesting that if the students at VA Tech had carried guns a lot less people would have died. The problem isn't with the lefties.......per usual, its with you righties. Speaking of which, have you done a tour in Iraq yet?
