Don't be ridiculous. It's just a disturbed kid who flipped out over a girl.

Oeconomicus, that speculative comments I made were based on everything I had learned up to that point. There appears to be a continuous string of red flag incidents that began prior to the finding that Cho was an "imminent threat" to himself & others. That unbroken string of incidents pointed to an individual who was extraordinarily disturbed, so much so that multiple students & teachers made their concerns known. That string of red flags only ended when Cho put a bullet in his head.

My PC run amok comment was equally speculative. I still believe it may yet be established as part of reason this massacre happened. It's not my fault that elite academics believe every facet of the PC culture they've created. When those in power insist on granting anyone, including grossly abnormal individuals, the same or more rights than everyone else, they should bear the responsibility of the consequences of their decisions IMO.

Bottom line. VT officials, & others might be able to dismiss each contributing factor by isolating them & attacking them on an individual basis. But as it stands right now, the evidence taken as a whole, in proper context at this time, still appears that the university bears significant responsibility for the outcome here.
