re ham sandwhich. My hebrew/religious school teacher (dual loyalty instruction) once said during the passover period that the "worse thing a jew could do would be to eat a ham sandwhich on passover". I asked him if thats worse than taking a gun and killing some folks. He kicked me out of class. Next day was opening day at Yankee stadium. I didnt get the ham sandwhich but i had the unkosher hot dog with a glass of milk. Needless to say i havent gone to hell yet. I tell that story all the time to the religous assholes i run into of all faiths. I used to tell it to my kids to point out the absurdity of some religious beliefs. Catholics do this alot too but when they eat that forboten thing, they get to go to confession. jews wait a hole year to apologize to God for eating pig meat on bread on passover.
