The problem is our own politicians who have put the continental shelf around Florida off limits.

Make them walk to work, or take a pony cart. By the time nancy pelosi walks to Washington she will be fit, trim, and sane. What a change that would be.

none of those who support drilling off our coasts have pushed it. it's amazing that no organizations have amassed an all out advertising campaign to educate the public on what it costs them, out of pocket, in gasoline , home heating, and all these costs that are passed on in mfg of consumer goods.

perhaps, there are no savings, maybe the bottom line becomes the oil industry is only using so much capital and if not drilling off the coasts they are drilling elsewhere and the effect is a zero increase in production of oil.

Everyone knows the oil is sitting off Florida and enough natural gas to supply over a one million homes for sixty years. Yet, no big campaign to bring this to public attention. there must be so many more alternative exploration sites it still doesn't warrant a big fuss.
