Ok, we won't use the word "invent". Algore: "I took the initiative in creating the Internet." God created the heavens and the earth. Algore created the Internet. Is that better? Seems the same thing to me. Create and invent are synonyms. We can discuss what really happened in the history of the Internet if you like, but to discuss what he meant to say instead of what he said seems a lost cause for those defending what he said by proposing he didn't say it. Kinda like the grief Alexander Haig took for "I am in control"...
