Chris, what I am saying is the US should take an active role, even if they have to arm-twist Israel into agreement. The US should decide, not Israel, that pre-1967 borders in Israel are to be established, period. Put in our bases and sit on our rears. Fun and games over and no more loss of American lives to maintain Israeli security. GR

Thats more of a fair analysis than i am used to from you chris. As relates to borders, the real issue is EJ--the contiguous settlements are part of that. Pals would probably agree to some border adjustments in a settlement that returned EJ and ceded other land to compensate. Thats assuming of course they give up on terrorism, other than symbolic right on return to pre-67 israel lands, recognzize israel permanent presence in the region with those new borders with all the arab states signing on as well. Then the 60 year war would finally be over and we could argue about something else.
