and now because of extreme hubris, bush is kicking the can down the road to the next administration, no? You really think that he thinks there will be material improvement in iraq by end of term?


I watched him on Charlie Rose last night. I think he is far from despairing about Iraq. Also, for the sake of American credibility, he thinks he has no choice but to persist.

Just because Washington has decided it's time to despair does not control events on the ground in a very complicated situation. This should be an obvious statement but it bears repeating.
