The car was maintained at the dealer until we got it, and we took it to Jiffy Lube every 3k miles after that. It never should have happened.

Jiffy Lube changes the oil and tries to sell you all sorts of other unnecessary treatments.

You need to take the car in for a "transmission flush and service." I just had one done on my Suburban to the tune of $225.

PS - I wouldn't trust Jiffy Lube to change the oil in my lawnmower.
