This is what I can't figure out... these guys are car companies, not oil companies. Why not be at the front edge of the wave?

"The big car-makers wanted little to do with electric vehicles. They didn't even want to look at new battery technologies, lest California slap another mandate on them."

How can they be soooo shortsighted?

Hi Thread, EVERYONE please read this article. I promise you, if you have the slightest interest in electric cars, this article will be worth every minute you spend on it. I'd love to hear what you guys think after you read it.

Ten, Tejek, John, et al, does this give you hope? I personally have earmarked money to buy this car. I am currently driving a car with 135K miles on it and was planning to buy a Prius, but instead, this is my baby. I'll have to save a bit more money, but I'm looking forward to driving this puppy.

Wow! When you mentioned Tesla before, I had no idea what you meant. Incredible........looking forward to seeing one on the road. Forgetting everything else for a moment, it blows me a way how much quieter electric cars are......can you imagine when most cars are electric.....how much quieter cities will be.
