So.....what do you do once you put a US base in Israel, Israel withdraws to the 1967 borders, some shady group calling itself the Allah Martyrs of Kingdom Come Brigade kidnaps 5 Israelis, some other group named Haifa Holy Liberation Club claims responsibility for a suicide bomber that killed 20 people in a Haifa cafe, and the Pal leadership says that they will put a stop to that kind of stuff, but no arrests are made and no visible penalties for these attacks occur. What then? How does the US military base help anything? I think someone just woke up and smelled the coffee. Congrats, Elroy.

Elroy, you're hypothetical forgets the facts on the ground. Rockets were not being shot into Israel from the West Bank prior to 1967, to my knowledge, the Israelis lived in relative peace with the Palestinians. The only time the Palestinians acted up with violence to the degree that exists today was because of the occupation after 1967. THERE WERE NO SUICIDE BOMBERS IN ISRAEL BEFORE 1967. So I would expect them to go back to the same lifestyle that pre-existed 1967. The occupation has created the violence coming from the Palestinians, once it's removed, it will create an atmosphere for peace. Suicide bombers are the byproduct of the occupation, its a defense mechanism known only to those that don't have standard military weaponry to fight occupation.
