Tidal power alone can give us 5 times what the world currently uses. Be fine if it becomes technologically and economically feasible. I hope it does. Do remember that sea water is very corrosive and that marine plants and critters would like to set up shop on any under water facilities.. Conservation alone will give a 35% cutback. Without debating numbers, conservation will occur when price dictates it. The market will actually work in this regard if the various "churches" and pols let it.. GM thought higher standards would; now Toyota is the biggest car company in the world. LOL! Is that because Toyota is advertising the hell out of their new, huge, V8 powered, gas sucking Tundra pickup and running NASCAR with the good ol' boyz?? Too funny! My daughter is doing a research paper on sequestration. She and you might be interested in this link.
