If you're referring to public prayer such as reciting a prayer before a ball game, then I regard those "prayers" as nothing more than public recognition of a Creator, nothing more than that... and it's not at all necessary to "build a case" for public prayer, but thanks...

Genuine prayer is repentance, sincere and true repentance for one's deepest transgressions of sins committed either knowingly or unknowingly... this is a very person thing and there is no way this can be done in public except to grandstand for some other agenda, perhaps a public apology of some sort, but it's hardly legitimate prayer, there is nothing in this world more personal and private than genuine prayer...
