Nicely stated, GZ.....

I certainly hope we don't see a question at the next democratic or republican debate drilling into the personal prayer methods of the candidates...

there is no way this can be done in public except to grandstand for some other agenda, perhaps a public apology of some sort, but it's hardly legitimate prayer, there is nothing in this world more personal and private than genuine prayer

not according to James...does he count?

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

or John?

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
