"I don't know how real this is but it makes for an interesting story." It is hard to say. To me, it says that there is growing recognition that polarizing the country is a bad thing. But that plays to my preconceptions. As a country, we are at our greatest when we have the vast majority of people buying in. When we have just a slim majority, there is waffling and backbiting. And nothing good gets done.
