You must be younger than I am. DeGaulle was a Rightist and gave france, american style presidential democracy as opposed to the multi party, parliamentary franco/italian/spanish variety. De Gaulle also got france out of its algerian quagmire. We need someone like De Gaulle here to get us out of our current quag.
