The issues and tensions in Iraq may be millenia old, but the geo-political situation in the Mid East is only a few score old.

If we pull out, then the Saudis, Iranians and Turks move in.

$200 per barrel oil might be just a "blip" on the way to radicalization of Saudi Arabia and ALL OUT radicalization of Iran.

Russia and Venezuaela could become the economic SUPERPOWERS of the world, with all the "good" stuff that would entail.
