Futurist guessing:
Within ten years: Iran representing Shia Islam and Pakistan representing Sunni will each acquire superpower military status. China and India will acquire economic superpower status and will change from being the most passive cultures to the most violent. They will initially seem to be a threat to world powers but will collapse under internal corruption and domestic turmoil. Russia, on the other hand, will once again rise as a dominating force on the Eastern Hemisphere. Russia will attempt a new type of United grouping of nations under it’s wing for military and economic strength, but will be careful not to topple other nations in the process USSR style. European countries that were once allied with the USA will cooperate. In the Western Hemisphere Brazil will lead the South American countries in economic development. South America will do well for a while but they will have the same corruption and domestic problems China and India face. Brazil will lead South America in renewing friendly relations with North American Countries. Over all there will be more wars fought over unstable regions, but the USA wont be taking unilateral movements like in Iraq.
