If shiaa want three state, you are right but i suspect and intact iraq with local autonomy and oil share would be an acceptable compromise for the shiaa as well and iran too. Chaos in the sunni iraq on their border with al quaeda present AFTER the US is pretty much out is not desirable for shiaa iraq or iran imo. This is a change in my view. Also i think the kurds do better in a confederal or federal iraq than they would as independent with the turks breathing down their necks.
