I am too. The only "saving grace" for Pakistan is their disciplined "secular" military.


Musharraf is finite; he's going to be gone sometime, sooner or later. And what follows is the question. Hopefully the military can beat back the clerics, or you could have a nuke armed Taliban type regime. And they have the missiles to deliver the shit.

Iranians (despite the current leader) have a healthy respect for self-interest.

It seems like Condi is the Bushies foreign policy "B" team, despite being Secretary of State. When they need clout, they send Cheney, like to get the Iraqi parliament back to work..

Not that that makes the actual POLICIES work any better!
