These batteries run at full power up to 125,000 miles, give or take.

Then they recycle them.

Net-net, it's pretty cool. The Tesla in production is a tad small for me. It's a Lotus design, similar to an Elise. If you've never been in one, it's like driving a skateboard.

But one option is to put on a solar panel, which would add roughly 50 more miles to your range on a sunny day.

I was interested, but missed the show in NYC when they had it there. A second show was cancelled when they had battery problems.

Oops.

Also, any repair that might occur requires you to be within a reasonable distance of a Tesla shop. Out here that's Westchester.

It's nuts anyway. Last I heard the governments were starting to lose money on gas tax due to conservation efforts. So now they are trying to figure out a way to penalize the taxpayer for saving energy.

Bring back King George, give me taxation without representation.
