I think you are giving them too much credit and i think its just harder than you think to export an active cell to the US. But what do i know.

One more thing chris. US muslims tend to be more integrated into our society than in europe. Our palestinaians and lebanese tend to be christian and not moslem. Many do very well here. The domestic threats we have found are small time ops like the black dudes in florida, jose padilla and even the Jersey guys planning a pizza delivery attack on Fort Dix. Thats why we are so interested in watching british visitors of pakistani origin for example or French visitors of algerian or african descent.
