I was reading that very quote on a poster in a basement window on a cold November day just 18 months ago while walking around in Cleveland when a black SUV appeared from nowhere. Out popped a squadron of black-suited warriors in mirrored sunglasses wearing giant buttons that read, "It's the electronic voting, stupid!" They pulled me back from an abyss which appeared to be a dangerous rift in the Republic/Thugocracy fabric. Haliburton and Exxon executive stock options were safe once more!!

>>>>According to most Russian history textbooks, Trotsky was
a convicted "foreign spy".<<<

Do they really still say that? I keep hoping for a complete re-emergence of an older and in some few respects, at least, more humane Russia. By "older" I mean 200 years older.
