It's not name-calling kumar. I am a neocon, after all. I won't give the name up to left-wingers (which mike isn't anyway), any more than I will admit that "swift-boating" means to smear somebody with unsubstantiated charges.

A neocon is just somebody who used to be a liberal, but has since been mugged by reality.

An accepted political label is not name calling. "Neocon" does have a certain stench and associations clinging to it, as does "Liberal" for others. Both are valid political labels though.
