If we want to beat AQ, let us do it in Afghanistan

One small problem: AQ gets a vote in where they fight. AQ has REPEATEDLY declared that they consider Iraq the main front of their jihad, and have expended their forces accordingly. Therefore if we lose in Iraq, AQ will quite convincingly be able to say that they defeated us.

Afghanistan is not an option.

"Any way, once we leave Iraq, AQ will get kicked out by the Iraqi's, so we will win that way, even without solving the Iraq problem."

I think this too.
