I was explaining, not proposing. WW2 wars the country understands.

You are not explaining what "One hand tied behind our backs means." You make a vague allusion that we are restrained in some way without indicating what unrestrained would be in this instance. You don't have to propose it, you have to explain it. This isn't WWII, it doesn't apply.
