Yes. The morphed version will be removed from the baggage of terrorism. The AQ idea will continue but not be formally connected to the organized power in Pakistan. The Taliban form of organization is closer but the Taliban screwed themselves so the next effort will be cleaner and if you look at what Moktada Al-Sadr is doing in the shadows of Iraq, you can see a model but in Pakistan the development will be more separated from the radical AQs. Another example is Palestinians. The Pals in America have assimilated and copied the model of Jews in America. They are very successful in business politically active and provide funding and support to the homeland. The morphed Pakistani fundamentalists will be supported by the radical AQs informally and they will have both formal and informal support from major regions of Islamic populations, that is where the super power will come from, not from internal natural or economic resources. The frontier fundamentalists could successfully coup Mubarak over night any time they wanted. They will wait for the right time.
