Suggest to think along the line Barcelona and Griffin are cores are both derived from K8.

Suggest to listen to what AMD is telling you instead: the Griffin *core* is transistor-for-transistor the same as Turion X2, NOT "dervied" from it.

How about suggest to think that AMD has decided barcelona silicon implementation is not suitable for mobile/low-power platforms.
