I would take the position that its for the reader to understand if its a Hypothesis or a QED

No, it's for the author to say - and he said plainly, in the summary and the article, that it was QED. I, the reader, said NO, it's a hypothesis, and one that was presented without evidence because the author claimed it was QED.

You can't just let bad arguments off the hook like that kumar.
