Last week China Mobile announced 5.28 million new (GSM) subscribers in April. So all in all, there were 6.91 million new mobile subscribers in China, and 7,1% of those were CDMA subscribers. If I got my math right...

Sounds about right....though it should also be noted that Qualcomm's forecast is for 20 million CDMA handsets to be sold in China this year. That will make up significantly more than 7% of the total Chinese handset market in '07. Also, it looks like CDMA net adds have accelerated from the 250,000 a month level which we saw for much of last year.

None of which changes the fact that CDMA hasnt lived up to anybody's expectations in China....
