To obtain a broker's license, it will require going through an apprenticeship. Gotta work for another broker for a period of time (two years here unless that changes), and then meet other educational, testing, and fee requirements. And yes, it varies from state to state.

If we are held accountable to the standards of a practicing attorney (which agents can and are), should not the testing requirements be as stringent as that of becoming an attorney?
