Who, exactly, is going to pay for all this wonderfulness? It doesn't cost very much to maintain a website and underlying database but if they need financing, a simple implementation involving Google adwords would do it. The click through model on real estate sites is high $$ since the lenders do some pretty aggressive marketing. Realtors too but they may have no incentive to advertise on a site like this. However many people work at Zillow are who you need, maybe 10-15 staffers in the R&D area for a national site.
