Mr. RayB's nose keeps getting LONGER and LONGER.

Mr. RayB now claims..

Near the end of last year, SIRI had significant outages, which can be confirmed by reading about it at SBS. Shit happens.

The problem has been resolved and was a result of a failed software upgrade. Neither XM's outage nor SIRI's late last year had anything to do with the "satellite configuration".

LOL!! However if you go back to "late last year".. What you will find is just the opposite. You will find Mr. RayB blaming SIRI's, and I quote... "significant reception problems" on exactly that.. SIRI's choice of of the "satellite configuration" during the initial "engineering phase" of the constellation.

Let us all read along.

XM requires only two satellites to provide service. Sirius thought they would require three but is having to launch a fourth one to provide adequate signal coverage. Until the fourth one is launched, Sirius will continue to have significant reception problems.

snip

Sirius is having to foot the ENTIRE BILL for four satellites for one reason only: The [sic] made poor engineering choices early on.
