Those options have been available, at least in my part of the country, for a long time. What I suspect certain people think will happen in the future, however, is far more drastic and unachievable than that. I just wonder how quick/easy/cheap freedom would be achieved (legally) and funded. No one has those answers yet.

Technologically speaking, we should all be free agents out there as buyers and sellers. In reality, that's not happening, partly because of the built-in expense of home inspectors, lawyers, title companies, lenders, appraisers, and federal/state/local government rules governing lead paint, radon, real estate transfer fees, HOA disclosure forms, yada yada.

Someone has to be in control to manage all these requirements, and at the present time, it seems to require a trained and knowledgeable person to oversee it all. At the present time, that is a real estate licensee. Anyone else out there want to volunteer to do it for free?
