The fact that I said one comment by Rumsfeld was correct doesn't mean that everything he's said is correct.

Rumsfeld's correct statement was that the U.S. military is stronger than it was during the Persian Gulf War, while Iraq's armed forces are weaker.

and

"Five days or five weeks or five months, but it certainly isn't going to last any longer than that," he said. "It won't be a World War III." "

with "IT" referring to the defeat of Iraq's military forces and the downfall of Saddam's regime.

As for the dead enders comment. He didn't say a few. And four years doesn't make or prove the "dead-enders" comment wrong. What would prove it wrong would be the groups actually winning to the extent that they get exactly what they want. For example if the Baathists get a new mostly secular dictatorship with them in charge, then they were not dead enders. I suspect they actually are, but we'll see.
