Plus many folks have come to believe that our forces have behaved badly at times as well. Michael, it isn't just with Bush... It's with the Democrats as well. They are exerting every effort to undermine any attempt to create outrage against such blatant violations of those Geneva Conventions. You simply cannot assert that it's all "Bush's fault". The failure of the rival political to recognize that we have a vested interest in confronting the inherent EVIL that resides in the hearts and minds of our enemy, or the fact that their religious fanaticism transcends the geographical boundaries of nation/states is just as responsible for that alledged 3-1 opposition. But it doesn't matter whether you think we're foolishly continuing this war, becase the enemy is going to continue it against us no matter how you feel. They don't believe in making peace with us and they have no intent on doing so. If there's any failure on the part of this administration, it's the failure to convince the American people of this reality. We didn't choose this war, Michael. We didn't choose to become the target of the proponents of the global Jihadist movement, THEY CHOSE US. And if you, or anyone else can't understand the necessity of waging the struggle in the enemy's backyard, where they are forced to defend their own turf, and motivating the governments and people of the region to see our combined interests in defeating the Jihadist ideology, then you might has well just hang a white flag from your porch. Maybe you'd be better off spending as much time thinking about the thousands of muslims who are the faceless victims of the Jihadists. Because like in Afghanistan, when the Jihadists have reached a point where they have reasonable control over their indigenous population, they will immediately seek to strike out from their borders to their other perceived enemies. (that's us, btw). Hawk
