OK.. I thought as much.. It is your position and I quote 'ancient Shiite religious cleric who had incited the centuries long conflict between the Shiite sect and the Sunni sect' that I have a problem with.. If you look up the history on Karbala, you will see a different story.. In this whole Shia Sunni thing in Iraq, Sunnis know exactly what they were doing by attacking these shrines.. I agree however that painting Ya Hussein at a Checkpoint would be adding fuel to the fire but once this mayhem got started, no way to stop it by one side refraining to act.. sad but true..
