Is it the US job to take out all the stalins of the world at all times in all places. Avoiding a major war with the Russians as we were demobilizing after WW2 was a good thing. American is not a warrior nation. Those are the deaths we avoided both Russians who would have been nuked and our soldiers. And truth be told i am always interested in saving our soldiers as best we can while theoreticians like Hawk are sending them all over the world to do something they are just not cut out to do and that is to make the world safe for democracy. No better walks softly and carry a big stick. I go with TR every time over WW.
