I don't know why you are apologizing, that was precisely my point. You made some other points on the side that I'd happily discuss with you, but it seems you failed to grasp primary one coherently.

"I don't care who you are, no human being likes having some self-declared, unelected, ruling body telling them what they can, and cannot, do.

Children are much happier in a rules based home with limits that are clear, provided they promote well being and decency. Limits imposed by the ruling body of adults in charge of the home. Children are human beings. Most adult human beings seek guidance from wise or religiously authorized role models. And many don't mind being ruled by a body or doctrine that seems to them to be founded upon their best interests. I would agree that no human beings like self declared dictators who rule them in ways that lack beneficence ... which tends to be the case with dictators.
