WOW! I think we've set a new record for reaching the greatest depth of confusion in the shortest time! :-)

Let's try this: Gov't- -all gov't- -is based on coercion. Including democratic ones. That's why all gov'ts have police and military forces.

In any democracy, there are groups who would like to overthrow the democracy and become the rulers themselves. The police forces use coercive methods to control them.

If you go back in the the history of any democracy, you find a point where a dictatorship or oligarchy was overthrown- -almost always by the means of violent force. Our own gov't was born in the rumble of cannon. There are are a few exceptions to the above. But their is no evidence such gov'ts are in the long run more stable than those born in violence.
