Mish: I have to agree on healthcare. As a small business owner, we get creamed by insurance increases. They average 10% per year. The solution to just create a tax credit doesn't work, the system is broken and it will be interesting to see how it gets fixed. New Zealand might be the place to start. chris

Mish: A few days ago I attended a presentation by a local doctor to a group of senior citizens where he answered a number of medical questions from the audience (I am not a senior citizen yet but not too far away. I took the opportunity to ask him what in his opinion is wrong with our medical system since both costs and mortality rates are very high compared with other industrial countries. His answer -- it is far too easy for patients to sue doctors in this country. No mention of 50 million uninsured, soaring drug prices, insurance gouging etc. According to this young doctor US medicine would be in great shape if only patients could not sue for malpractice. Heaven help us of this kind of thinking is widespread in the medical community (I suspect it is)
