Dale;

I can't build a factory on my residential lot because the city isn't going to let me inflict that on my neighbors, for very good reasons.

I am not a die-hard Libertarian supporter, but I do have leanings that way. As a social liberal and fiscal conservative, I do not fit in well with either the current democratic or republican party. I mainly divulge from the Libertarians in environmental issues. If you pollute, seems to me that is infringing on others rights, but for the most part I don't think libertarians think that way. What I do like about Libertarianism is the shift of power back to the states. I also am a devote fanatic supporter of personal "rights". That means, I support gun rights as well as right to die with dignity - to name two from the opposing parties.

As to your example. I would agree that you can't build a factory in an area of housing; but doesn't that contradict the following statement;..... provided they allow others the same liberty and avoid abusing their liberty. Clearly you would be abusing others liberties to build th factory - you would be abusing liberty
