Must be a fine line between pumping the immune
system up...and wearing it down. Seems each year
the cold viruses take things up a notch.

<poor bees who've had a rough year with that CCD>
What is CCD?

Speaking of skills on the digital camera...
So I took my long lens and slapped it on my
Maxxum 5D the other day to get some shots in
the woods. I set the shutter for probably
something like 1/500th, hand held. Needless
to say every shot was garbage, seemingly unlit.
I snagged some freeware editing software and
started cranking up the brighness and such.
Not a single thing worth keeping.

From now on, I will have a tripod with me!
It is pointless to try and hand hold anything
if the light is questionable.

I did get a nice hand held shot a couple months
ago driving up to the ski area. A few good shots
in amongst a couple dozen hand held snapshots
of the snowy mountains and scud. If I get brave
I will post my best shot over on the photo thread.

Two of my favorite shots were done with an older
crummy digital camera (the kind with no lens to
speak of). All my best shots are lucky--the light
is perfect and you just snap away and one in 20
turns out. Thank goodness for flash memory chips.
